What does "Catholic" mean?

Is the Catholic Church the same as a Christian church?

WHO WE ARE
Holy Family is a diocesan parish of the Catholic Archdiocese of Seattle. We strive to make faithful followers of Jesus Christ through the Mass and sacraments, religious education, our school, and various lay ministries.  We have a large Spanish speaking population, so our public worship and religious education are offered in Spanish as well as in English. Parishioners also represent other diverse cultures including Filipino, Vietnamese, and Cambodian.

THE CHAPEL
Although we cannot keep the church open for security reasons, the chapel in the Ailbe house (the old convent) is open all day for prayer, and can be accessed in the evenings via a code which is available, through the front office, to parishioners. This beautiful chapel is available for private prayer by all who feel the call to sit and listen to our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament.  All are welcome to come and adore our Lord in the Most Blessed Sacrament. On Wednesdays we have Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament in the main church from 9am until 5pm at which time we have the final blessing and reposition.
